Thanksgiving

Wishing you all Baileys in your coffee and an extra slice of pumpkin pie! Happy Thanksgiving!

God save the Spades

Behold, the high priest and priestess of charm in their cathedral of style. Looking especially Spade-y and good by The Selby's discerning lens I must say. A big thank you to the NEO-trad for word that these shots are up. I'd give an arm and a leg for that yellow striped headboard, to say nothing of all those Matchbooks ;)

Weekender

Love the color and detail of this photo, posted yesterday on vogue.com. Makes me so happy it's Friday. Here's to a good one, less than a week until Thanksgiving! XO

Booklisted

There's nothing quite like a used textbook to sap the joy right out of reading - all the more reason I'm looking forward to the holidays, and a break from school to devote entirely to titles of my choice. At present I'm halfway through Must You Go? - Antonia Fraser is so readable, and if my good word is not enough to convince you, the Wall Street Journal's will. Until I'm finished with Lady Antonia, I won't even let myself near In Tearing Haste - "bursting with wit and conviviality", according to one review; "evokes a lost world of glamour, intelligence and personal scruples", says another. And, best for last, Jay-Z's new memoir - "a collection of lyrics and their meanings that together tell the story of a culture, an art form, a moment in history". I'm intrigued, and love that he chose one of Andy Warhol's Rorschach paintings for the cover. Will report back once I'm through!

Limited options

Well that sure narrows things down, doesn't it?! P.S. This is my favorite piece of stationery, ever. One of my very best friends gave it to me in college and, so not to keep you guessing, my answer then, as now -- firmly Harry.
